Koperasi had negotiated with N.T.S Arumugam Pillai and managed to purchase some of the 1,007 acres of land as a result of strong support from UMNO Balik Pulau and individuals.
Strong support was also obtained from Deputy Prime Minister at that time (Tun Abdul Razak Hussain), at a price of RM2,156,000.00 through a loan of RM1,000,000.00 and Penang State Government a total of RM1,100,000.00 respectively.
The remaining amount of RM56,000.00 had to be provided by Koperasi itself within two (2) weeks of period.
